Property Deeds have come a long way...

It's hard to believe that "once upon a time", people used the distance an arrow could be flung as a way to measure acreage. Today's property deeds have certainly come a long way from the one pictured in this post.

Most deeds are available digitally online through county websites and can provide valuable information about a property.

Although online sources can be helpful, when it's time to buy, we highly recommend having the property surveyed. It's the best way to make certain that you're getting what you pay for. For more information about surveys, read our Blog Post from October 22, 2018 entitled Why Survey Your Mountain Land Purchase?
